Come celebrate the Cherry Blossom Centennial with Chapman’s Japanese Club, Wednesday, March 28 in the Attallah Piazza, 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

In the spring of 1912, the Japanese government presented Washington D.C. with 3000 cherry blossom trees as a testimate to the growing friendship between the two countries. 100 years later, we celebrate the blooming of the trees and our relationship with the country of Japan with a traditional, Japanese-style matsuri, or festival.

There will be table crafts, costumes, games, free food, drinks, a Japanese tea ceremony, calligraphy, taiko drums, as well as various performances from martial arts club and student bands, and much more!
