The University Art Museum of California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) is hosting an event in which artist William Leavitt discusses his practice in conversation Chapman Art Professor Stephen Berens on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 6 p.m.

Stephen Berens is an artist and scholar and is one of the co-founders of X-TRA, a Los Angeles-based contemporary art journal.

William Leavitt is a Los Angeles based painter, installation artist, and theater director whose work is influenced by the Los Angeles landscape and culture. Leavitt was the subject of a critically acclaimed 2011 retrospective, Theater Objects at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles.
