Flyer for Post-PostSenior BA and BFA Studio Art Students present, POST-POST, an art exhibition featuring artists, ARIKA ABDALIAN, KRISTINE BACON,  NICHOLAS COHN, ADAM OTTKE, LAURA PUGH and KELLAN SHANAHAN, April 8-12 in the Guggenheim Gallery (opening reception, Monday, April 8, 6-9 p.m.)

POST-POST reflects a contemporary state of being. We have now moved past the grand narratives of the 20th century, the arc of Modernism has gone full tilt. What comes next? This is the question of our times.

The unifying principle between these artists is faith in the premise that an end can also be a beginning. We can now revisit the places art has been before; painting, sculpture, and photography with fresh insight and understanding. We can look at the world outside of the lines history has drawn over it. We are now truly free to create, to use the best of what came before us.

The works of these young artists represent  a decentered, non-hierarchical dialogue, where all mediums, practices, and perspectives have an equal voice amongst each other.

The Guggenheim Gallery is open daily from 12 – 5 p.m.
