2019 Faculty Awards Faculty Appreciation and Beyond the Classroom

The Faculty Appreciation Awards are annually organized by the Office of Residence Life and First Year Experience, with the Fenestra Community Advisor student staff team taking the lead role in facilitating all aspects of the process. The award categories are designed to capture faculty’s outstanding work inside the classroom, in addition to recognizing their efforts towards providing a “personalized education of distinction” outside of the classroom environment. Submissions were gathered both online and via tabling in the Attallah Piazza and outside of Randall Dining Commons throughout the month of February. At the conclusion of the nomination process, the FCA team reviews submissions and selects a winner in each of the five recognized categories, in addition to selecting one faculty member out of all nominees to receive the top honor, the “My Favorite Professor” Award. Faculty nominees, as well as their student nominators, are invited to the annual Faculty Appreciation Reception organized by RLFYE each April, at which the winners of each award are recognized.
