American Indian Technology with Paul Apodaca, Jan. 15
January 7, 2011
Paul Apodaca (Navajo/Mixton), Ph.D., will discuss the technological developments of American Indians across two continents as well as how the use of American Indian resources during the Industrial and Scientific Ages changed the world.
Dr. Apodaca’s lecture will give insights into the development of the technologies, perspectives, and material culture that contributed to the Space Age – for example, one of our most famous astronauts is an American Indian. “Lost knowledge is a glaring reality as we look around the world and glimpse ancient technologies.”
Free with museum admission.
