The John Fowles Center for Creative Writing promotes and advances the discipline of creative writing in all its aspects: fiction, poetry, drama, creative nonfiction and screenwriting. For fourteen years the center has invited international writers to Chapman as: Nobel Laureate, Wole Soyinka, Salman Rushdie, Maxine Hong Kingston among others. Each year access tothose writers is available not only to the Chapman community, but to the OrangeCounty and, by extension, the Southern California community as well.This year’s 2011 literary series is devoted to Latin American writers.

The focusof the 15th Annual John Fowles Center Literary Forum is devoted to LatinAmerican writers and writing including Carlos Franz, Marcio Souza, AliziaKozameh, Sergio Chejfec and Luisa Valenzuela.
