History majors excel at Southern California Regional Phi Alpha Theta Conference at Cal State University

Chapman History seniors headed down to San Diego on Saturday, April 20, 2013 for the annual Phi Alpha Theta Regional Conference.
This year, the conference was held at Cal State San Marcos.
In all, Chapman had 23 history seniors attend. There were three undergraduate research paper prizes altogether. Priya Shah (’13) won first place and Kimberly O’Toole (’13) won honorable mention. Priya’s paper is entitled “Language, Discipline, and Power: The Extirpation of Idolatry in Colonial Peru and Indigenous Resistance.” Kimberly’s paper is entitled “Enslaved Children in North America.”
