The Disability Studies Program and The Department of Peace Studies invites you to a presentation by author and activist HolLynn D’Lil on Tuesday, April 11 at 1 p.m. in Argyros Forum, 209A.

D’Lil will talk about the seminal event in disability rights history which led to the eventual passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) – the shutting down of U.S. Federal buildings in ten American cities and a direct confrontation in 1977 with President Jimmy Carter in Washington, D.C.

This event is sponsored by the Disruptive Futures Program of Wilkinson College, the Vice-Provost for Undergraduate Education, the Disabilities Program, and the Department of Peace Studies.

This event is free and open to everyone.
