Comics as Social Change
March 30, 2015
The Fellows of the Paulo Freire Democratic Project, in conjunction with the College of Educational Studies, are hosting The Salon on Thursday, April 2, 2015, from 6pm-8pm in Argyos Forum by the stage and in 119. The inaugural topic is Comics as Social Change, which will bring together creators, fans, and activists to discuss the role of comics reflecting, igniting, and critiquing social change.
We have also worked with the Leatherby Libraries to set up a display of comic books and graphic novels that demonstrate the ways that people have used the medium. Please check out the display by the entrance.
Look for future installments of The Salon with various topics to help catalyze a conversation about topics that deserve a time devoted to looks at various sides from multiple perspectives.
