Cybersecurity Awareness Month is Here!
September 21, 2022
In 2004, the US Congress and the President of the United States established October as Cybersecurity Awareness Month to raise awareness about the increasing number of threats that can affect the country’s technology and personal data. Through a collaboration between government agencies and industry, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and the National Cybersecurity Alliance (NCA) aim to raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity.
This year, the cybersecurity month campaign’s theme, “See Yourself in Cyber,” emphasizes the responsibility that everyone has in their online behavior.
During October, Chapman University’s Information Security team will focus on providing resources and information to help educate the Chapman community on cybersecurity and how to stay safe online.
