At the beginning of the 2004-2005 academic year, the Leatherby Libraries opened its doors for the first time. Ten years and 8 million visitors later, the library has established itself as a center for academic and cultural life on campus.

To celebrate this anniversary, the library has planned an exciting series of events. “Collaboration” is the theme for the year, and in keeping with that theme, the library will partner with academic units across the Chapman community to host poetry readings, guest lectures, art exhibits, and more. Please see below for several fall highlights, and check the library’s website or follow us on Facebook for up-to-date information as the semester continues.

The series of events begins this Tuesday at 9 a.m. Join Dean Baldwin and Chancellor Struppa for a celebration to kick off this anniversary year. Stop by the reference desk to find out more about library resources and to pick up library giveaways. Be sure to come by early—the first 500 people to visit the library will get a cupcake.
