Panther Newspaper earns two prestigious awards
April 19, 2012
The Panther student newspaper has just learned that it has received two prestigious awards in state and national competitions. In statewide competition, the California Newspaper Publishers Association (CNPA) named The Panther one of the state’s top two university newspapers in the “General Excellence” category that includes finalists at universities with much larger enrollments, including UCLA, UC Santa Cruz and various California State Universities. Nationally, The American Scholastic Press Association awarded The Panther first place for general excellence among college and university publications with 2500 circulation, an honor the Panther has won annually for the last five years.
