Networking in Hawaii
June 5, 2012
On Tuesday, May 29th Wilkinson College and parents Jane and David Mench (P’13, P’15, ’15) hosted a reception for alumni, current Chapman University parents and students from Hawaii. There were thirty-four attendees including a variety of alumni from our very distinguished senior alumnist Wayne Bennett ’48 to our newest alumni Kyle Carter ’12 and Kimberly Yuen ’12. With almost 2,000 alumni, parents and students from Chapman University with addresses located throughout the Hawaiian Islands, Wilkinson organized the reception in order to afford the Hawaiian constituency the opportunity to meet, greet, and network. The purpose is to “think Chapman first” whenever an alum or parent might want to hire an intern or new employee, we hope that they will think about their Chapman University family. Wilkinson College hosted its first reception in May of 2011 and looks forward to continuing this new tradition with the purpose of creating linkages and networking opportunities. The College looks forward to working closely with alumni, parents and students to create a personal and virtual network.
