Voces Novae uses award money to purchase research books for library
November 7, 2012
The history e-journal, Voces Novae, won the national prize for Best Electronic Journal by the Phi Alpha Theta History Honors Society (again) and as part of the prize, they received a check from Phi Alpha Theta (PAT) for $100 to buy books for the Leatherby Libraries.
The book presentation took place on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 in the Special Collections Room of the library where Dean of the Leatherby Libraries, Charlene Baldwin, happily accepted the books.
Voces Novae was founded in the Spring of 2009 by the Alpha Mu Gamma Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta at Chapman University. The mission of Voces Novae is to provide undergraduate students a forum to contribute original research to the body of historical knowledge. Every year History students work together to compile and edit student papers into this online publication.
