Dr. Jennifer Waldeck, Associate Professor of Communication Studies, has published an article on social influence and the use of behavior alteration techniques in the college classroom.

The article appears as part of the National Communication Association’s ongoing “TRIP” (Translating Research into Practice) series, and was invited by NCA’s Educational Policies Board.  Each month, a brief article about an effective instructional communication behavior appears on the NCA website that discusses the behavior, summarizes the research conducted to date on the behavior, and identifies several tips on how to use the behavior when teaching.
