March 20, 2013
Dean of Wilkinson College of Humanities and Social Sciences Patrick Fuery announced a first call for research support through a newly formed grant, CRASsH Funding Support for Projects with Humanitarian and/or Ethical Themes.
Funding support is available in two categories:
- Individual projects (support up to $1000)
- Group projects (support up to $2,500)
Funding can be used for travel, research assistants, equipment, conference attendance.
The project must demonstrate a direct connection to themes driven by humanitarian and/or ethical issues. Successful applicants will need to produce a short (500 words) report within 1 month of completion of the funded activity.
Priority will be given to projects that demonstrate a capacity to secure additional funding (for example, grant applications) for the project. The application should include the following:
Name(s) of applicant(s) and the CRASsH group
Title of Project
Short description of the Project (300 – 500 words) including outcomes, time frame, and connections to the grant theme
How the funds will be used (short budget description)
Plans for future funding (for example, grants to be applied for)
Submissions should reach Shannon Halverson by 5 p.m. April 12, 2013.
