Junior Marissa Wong, (Peace Studies Major, IES and Honors Minor) and Senior Kathleen Doll (Political Science and Psychology Major; Women’s Studies Minor) presented their project, “Intergenerational Memory Transmission in Cambodia: Interrupting Patterns of Violence” at the University of Notre Dame Student Peace Conference at the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies, March 28-29.

The Kroc institute is one of the world’s leading centers for the study of the causes of violent conflict and strategies for sustainable peace. Kroc Institute faculty and fellows conduct interdisciplinary research on a wide range of topics related to peace and justice.

This year’s theme was “Building Peace: Integrating Two Decades of Progress.”

“We had a stellar time at the event, said Doll. “Not only was our research well-received, we also met brilliant scholars and learned new information that we will be incorporating in our research.”
