Morgan Read-Davidson
of the English department recently attended the
North Carolina Symposium on Teaching Writing
where he presented his paper “A Virtual Engagement: Shifting Student Writing into Digital Public Spaces,” and spoke on the panel “Beyond These Walls: Digital Media and Composition.”

His paper focuses on the rhetorical and pedagogical benefits of moving student writing from the word processing document to the online public space of the blog, building bridges between the writing done in and out of the classroom.

Professor Read-Davidson teaches rhetoric and composition courses for the English Departments new Rhetoric and Writing Minor, and directs Wilkinson College’s Iluminacion Writing Program.
