Student Awarded Research Grant with Professor

Professor Lia Halloran and BFA in Art student, Julie Russo, were awarded Chapman University’s Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) Program grant. Ms. Russo was one of the 13 “fellows” chosen to participate and will be working on a research project with Professor Halloran over the summer.

Assistant Professor John Compton in the department of Political Science was awarded the 2012 Law & Society Association’s Dissertation Prize.  His dissertation “A Moral Revolution: Evangelical Reform and the Transformation of American Constitutionalism, 1830-1937” was the unanimous choice of the committee. Chapman Debate Team Ranked 14!

Congrats to the 2012 Chapman Forensics Team! They are currently ranked 14th in the nation after an impressive showing at the 2012 Pi Kappa Delta National Comprehensive Tournament (which included 70 schools, 283 Debate Teams, and 1,329 Individual Events).
