This fall,
Chapman University’s College of Educational Studies
reestablished the Chi Beta Chapter of
Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education
. This honor society is designed for students in all majors and minors who are pursuing careers in education. Kappa Delta Pi gives students opportunities to collaborate and establish relationships that better prepare themselves for careers in education. Kappa Delta Pi is a student-led, student-run organization. Members will participate in events such as guest speaker talks, community activism events for local schools, and social events.

In order to qualify, undergraduate students must have at least a 3.7 GPA and at least 30 credit hours of collegiate coursework completed. A minimum of 12 of the 30 credit hours must have been completed at Chapman University. In addition, students must have a minimum of 6 credit hours in IES/EDUC coursework completed and at least 6 credit hours in progress.

Come to Kappa Delta Pi’s table at both the
Student Involvement Fair on Wednesday, September 17, 11:00 am – 1:30 pm in the Attallah Piazza
and the
Mini Involvement Fair on Thursday, September 25, 8:00 pm in the Davis Quad
for more information. Applications can be picked up at these events or at Kelly McCuen’s desk in Reeves Hall, Room 4.

Applications are due no later than October 3, 4:00 pm. All dues and fees are paid at the time of application submission. Allow at least one hour for the application submission/approval process. If you have any questions about eligibility, please contact
