Community of Readers Brown Bag Lunch and Readathon Bring a book, share what you're reading, and relax!
June 29, 2016
Join the Leatherby Libraries Community of Readers for a relaxing afternoon of reading and sharing about books. Established in 2007 by the Leatherby Libraries, the Community of Readers is the summer reading program for Chapman University. Each summer we encourage the community to publish reviews of all the wonderful books available in the library. As part of our 2016 program, the C.O.R. is inviting the community to a very special event on July 15th from noon to 5pm. We invite all participants to our “readathon” in the Center for American War Letters, come relax and read for a while!
From 12 – 1 p.m. the Community of Readers will be holding a brown bag lunch. Bring some food and share what you’ve been reading this summer – maybe you’ll go home with a great book recommendation to help you win your next Community of Readers prize! The first monthly drawing will also be held at this time. (For information about the Community of Readers program – and how easy it is to join and win! – visit leatherbycommunity.blogspot.com.)
From 1 – 5 p.m. we’ll be hosting a Readathon Open House in the Center for American War Letters Archives. Drop in and out whenever you’re available. Bring a book, pull up a chair, and take some time to relax and read.
We would like to thank all of our readers who have been participating in our yearly program, and encourage yearning readers to start writing to win awesome prizes!! If you’ll be in the area on July 15th, stop by and join our readathon!
