The Wilkinson College ofHumanities and Social Sciences 2011-2012 Series presents, “A Night withAbigail and John Adams.”
Abigail and John Adams livedthrough some of the most tumultuous times in American History. Beginning theirmarriage on a Massachusetts farm in British Colonial America, they participatedin the revolution that led to independence, traveled to Europe to advance theinterests of the new nation, and returned to the United States where Johnserved as the nation’s first Vice President and second President.  You areinvited to listen to the letters that attest to their fascinating life togetherthat spanned 54 years.
The letters will be read by Dr.Elizabeth Eastman, Assistant Professor of Political Science who also teaches inthe History Department.  Dr. John C. Eastman is the Henry SalvatoriProfessor of Law and Community Service and the former Dean of Chapman LawSchool.

This event will be held in theIrvine Lecture Hall, Hashinger Science Center 150, on Thursday, November 17that 7:00pm. Admission is free. Parking for event is available after 4pm in theFred L. Barrera Parking Structure on Sycamore and the Lastinger ParkingStructure on Walnut Avenue.
