Dr. Jennifer Bevan is an Associate Professor in Communication Studies at Chapman University. Bevan focuses on negative interactions such as jealousy and how it is expressed along with Facebook and how an individual reacts when someone unfriends them on Facebook. Dr. Bevan has had about 12 students join her as co-authors in several esteemed peer review journals. In the senior seminar capstone class taught by Dr. Bevan, students are expected to complete a research project entirely on their own. Bevan considers this as research training for graduate schools or even in the ‘real world’ where many employers are impressed when students are able to critically evaluate scholarship
