Professor Richard Bausch, Department of English, has been asked to be the distinguished Stein Visiting Writer at Stanford University.

Each year, Standford’s Creative Writing Program welcomes two distinguished guests to teach a writing seminar to undergraduates; one in poetry and the other in fiction (Professor Bausch will be teaching the course in fiction). These unique classes are kept small, limited to no more than 15 students, and they focus on a subject of the writer’s expertise and choosing.

In addition to the class, Professor Bausch will be giving a special public reading and discussion on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at 8 p.m. in the Levinthal Hall, Stanford Humanities Center, 424 Santa Teresa Street.

He’ll be teaching the Chapman Creative Writing Workshop on Monday evenings and then flying up to Standford in San Francisco for their Creative Writing Thursday class.

This is a tremendous honor and we congratulate Professor Bausch!
