The John and Margaret Class Student Book Collection Contest was established to inspire students to create their own personal libraries and book collections and to take joy in the printed book. The purpose of the contest is to highlight a focused collection owned by a student.

The contest is open to all currently enrolled full-time Chapman University undergraduate and graduate students and offers cash prizes to the first, second, and third place winners.

To apply, students must submit a completed application form, a one-page typed essay that describes the focus of the collection, an annotated bibliography, and a wish list of up to 10 additional titles to add to the collection.

The submission deadline is Monday, April 21, 2014. The application form and more details can be found on the Book Collection Contest web page: http://www1.chapman.edu/library/archives/bookcollcontest.html.

Students can also contact Maria Yanez (myanez@chapman.edu; 714-532-7719) with questions or for additional information.
