Senior BFA Graphic Design student, Devin Valdivia, designed the T-shirt for Chapman’s Henry Kemp-Blair Shakespeare Festival. The festival is hosted by Chapman’s Department of Theatre and the tournament consists of Scene, Monologue, Design Presentations, and Workshops devoted to Shakespeare’s texts.

Professor Lia Halloran and BFA in Art student, Julie Russo, were awarded Chapman University’s Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) Program grant. Ms. Russo was one of the 13 “fellows” chosen to participate and will be working on a research project with Professor Halloran over the summer.

This conference attracts 5000+ delegates from around the world to discuss pressing global issues. This week was the opening for the Junior Portfolio Show. Twelve students set up a table with their professional portfolio book which included ten of their best design projects. They are currently ranked 14th in the nation after an impressive showing at the 2012 Pi Kappa Delta National Comprehensive Tournament (which included 70 schools, 283 Debate Teams, and 1,329 Individual Events).
