Located in Cherry Valley, the Edward-Dean Museum has recently released a new exhibit focusing on children’s literature. Running through October 29th, the exhibition,  “Once Upon a Time – A Tale of Children’s Literature“, hopes to educate the community on the importance of early reading and the overall evolution of children’s literature. We are very excited to see that a selection of these books are loans from our very own Frank Mt. Pleasant Library of Special Collections and Archives.

Always encouraging to collaboration between libraries and cultural institutions, the Leatherby Libraries is proud to see some of its Special Collections and rare materials on display in other areas.

Rand Boyd, Coordinator of Special Collections & Archives, and Brett Fisher, Chair of the Library Systems & Technology Division, recently made the trip to Cherry Valley to check out the exhibition and view the displayed loaned materials. Please enjoy these photos they took during their trip and if you find yourself in the area of Cherry Valley, make sure to stop by the Edward-Dean Museum and view some of these priceless materials from the past.
