Two Wilkinson Students Awarded Fulbright Scholarships!

A big congratulations to Wilkinson College seniors Erika Sanders (pictured left) and Cambria Findley-Grubb (pictured right) for both being awarded Fulbright scholarships.
Erika Sanders is graduating in May with a degree in Peace and Conflict Studies and Political Science. She will be spending the 2013-2014 school year in Bulgaria as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant.
Cambria Findley-Grubb is a triple major. She will be receiving her BA in Peace and Conflict Studies, Political Science, and Religious Studies in May. She will be spending the 2013-2014 school year in Canada on a Fulbright Research Grant examining the comparative impact of education policy on indigenous populations. In addition to being a scholar Wilkinson College student, Cambria has started her own NGO “Soaps and Dreams” that provides toiletries to abused children that end up at the Orangewood Child Shelter.
A Fulbright award provides opportunities for personal development and international experience. Preference is given to those applicants who have resided or studied in the country to which they are applying for no more than six months. Proficiency required in the written and spoken language of the host country sufficient to communicate effectively and carry out the proposed project and the purpose of this award is to promote cross-cultural interaction and mutual understanding.
