Are you ready to be Googled? or, curating your own online scholarly presence
May 19, 2017
No matter what your current career stage–on the job market, or are applying to present at a conference, or publishing a new monograph–you will be Googled. And the real question is then, what will be found when that happens?
Curating an online scholarly identity doesn’t happen overnight, but you can get the ball rolling with a smart-looking website that holds links to your writings, research, and creative work. An excellent example of just such a presence is that of Dr Christopher Long, Dean of the College of Arts & Letters at Michigan State University:
At Chapman we offer hosting for faculty websites using WordPress templates like the one used by Dr. Long. If you would like to request a site for yourself, you can fill out this form to have a site created for you.
